Beta software — use at your own risk. Mosaic-CCTV is under active development and is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. It is not a certified security or surveillance product: don’t rely on it as the only way to watch or keep recordings of anything that matters. Juvex Oy is not liable for any loss or damage arising from its use.

Mosaic-CCTV showing eight live camera views in one window: a large view of a rain-soaked shopping street under Christmas lights, with a crowded beach, a night market, a neon-lit crossing in the rain, a city avenue at night, a narrow alley of neon signs, a sunset shoreline and a seaside marina around it

Mosaic-CCTV talks to your cameras and recorders directly — no cloud account, no vendor app. Arrange as many streams as you like into a grid, jump into any one of them full window, and scrub back through the NVR’s recordings when you need to see what happened.

A mosaic of live video

Built-in 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9 and 16-camera layouts, or design your own non-uniform grid. Save favourite layouts — each remembers which camera sits where — and switch between them from the toolbar. Double-click a tile to focus it full window.

Cameras and NVRs

Add any RTSP or RTSPS camera (H.264, H.265/HEVC or MJPEG), or an entire Foscam or Reolink NVR and pick the channels you want. Auto Detect fills in ports and stream paths from the camera itself, and passwords stay in your Keychain.

Recorded playback

Open Recordings to browse an NVR’s footage: a calendar marks the days that have recordings, you play up to four cameras side by side, and speeds run from 1× to 32×. Seeking is quick and the stream recovers on its own if the NVR drops a connection.

A timeline made for scrubbing

A 24-hour timeline shows exactly when each camera recorded. Zoom with the mouse wheel down to a single minute — centered on the selected time and labelled to the second — to land on the exact moment.

Camera housekeeping

Sync the clock, time zone and daylight-saving setting of your cameras to your Mac in one go, rename a camera or NVR channel on the device itself, and switch the name and time shown in the video on or off — all from the dialog that edits the camera.

Pan, tilt, zoom and presets

A small controls window moves cameras that can move, zooms and focuses, and saves, renames and orders presets. Where a camera has them, it also switches the infrared and flood lights, colour mode and status light. Works with Foscam and Reolink cameras and NVR channels, and other cameras over ONVIF.

Listen and talk

Hear a camera’s microphone right in its tile, and on cameras with a speaker switch on the microphone button to talk through it — Reolink NVR channels, and Foscam cameras as an early preview.

Resilient by design

Streams reconnect with sensible back-off when a camera or network drops, stalled video is detected and restarted, and the live grid steps aside while you browse recordings so the NVR is never asked to do both at once.

A closer look

The Design New Layout window: a four-by-four grid in which the top-left four cells are merged into one large tile and four more cells are selected to be merged next
Design your own layout Start from a grid of any size, select neighbouring cells and merge them into larger tiles — one big camera with a column of smaller ones, a wall of equal tiles, or anything in between. Save it, star it as a favourite, and each layout remembers which camera sits where.

On iPhone and iPad

The same app runs on iPhone and iPad: the live mosaic and your layouts, a pinch to zoom into any picture, camera controls, listen and talk, and recordings playback. It is in beta testing through Apple’s TestFlight and not yet in the App Store.

  1. Install Apple’s free TestFlight app on your iPhone or iPad (iOS or iPadOS 26 or later).
  2. Ask for an invitation through Juvex’s contact details. You’ll get an email or a link; open it on the device and tap Accept, then Install.
  3. Open Mosaic-CCTV and allow Local Network access when asked — the app needs it to reach your cameras. The device must be on the same network as the cameras, or connected to it over a VPN.
  4. Add your cameras and NVRs as on the Mac. Settings aren’t shared between devices, so each one is set up on its own.

TestFlight updates the app as new beta builds come out; each build works for 90 days. Send feedback and crash reports from the TestFlight app — take a screenshot in Mosaic-CCTV and TestFlight offers to send it to us.
